Ever wanted to run your own food truck?

Or experience the thrill of having 200 happy customers always standing in line for your latest dish?

We have just the job for you!

The Cadets move in to Spring Training in just six days, and we are in the middle of a Great Food Truck Race of our own: The corps needs a food-service individual to lead the food-truck efforts at Spring Training.

Great-Food-Truck-Race_road.jpgWe are looking for a short-order cook or someone with general knowledge of cooking and the ability to lead and work in a team environment for the duration of Spring Training in Johnstown, Pa.

While The Cadets are well fed three meals and a healthy snack each day, a gourmet chef is not required. We simply need an organized individual who can create a weekly meal plan and shopping lists for Sam's Club, and direct the team to chop, stir and serve up hearty meals for our 200-member/staff crowd.

Pay and travel compensation are available for this position. Housing is provided with the corps and staff in the dorms at the University of Pittsbugh-Johnstown.

The Spring Training Cook is needed from May 13 (or as soon as possible) through June 13.

A cook to lead the food crew through tour (June 13 through August 10) is also needed. These positions may be filled by the same or multuple individuals.

If you or someone you know may be interested, please e-mail The Cadets Director George Hopkins at hopkins@yea.org.

Spring Training Food Service Volunteers Needed

As The Cadets pack their bags, hug their loved ones and embark on the summer of a lifetime, the corps is in very real need of volunteers to help out on the food truck through Spring Training.

No cooking experience is needed! We just need helping hands.

We realize it's a big committment, so we're offering an incentive through Monday: If you are able to volunteer for 10 or more days, we are willing to cover your transportation to and from the corps.

Anyone who volunteers for 10 or more days by Mon., May 12 will travel on us!

Please e-mail hopkins@yea.org if you can help.

Tour Volunteers Also Needed

If you are interested in joining The Cadets Volunteer Council on tour to help cook or drive for a few days or weeks, we could greatly use your help. Please e-mail hopkins@yea.org to volunteer.

We look forward to having you join The Cadets' Carrot Crew!
