Jason Keller

Battery Percussion Instructor: Cadets Winter Percussion

Jason’s Keller marching experience includes high school, college, and several years of drum corps with Jersey Surf, Blue Stars and Bushwackers. He also has a few years of indoor drumline experience with groups such as Imperial Dynasty and United Percussion. He remains very involved with both the outdoor and indoor marching activities, and has done work with local high schools, independent ensembles and the Madison Scouts. For the 2014 season, Jason is the Percussion Caption Head of the Bushwackers Drum & Bugle Corps.

Throughout his career, Jason has worked closely with some of the best educators in the activity, including Tom Aungst, Lee Beddis, Jim Ancona, Chad Wyman, James Sparling, Chris Watson, Ryan Anderson, Derek Fields, Jeff Brooks and Mike Dow, all of whom must be acknowledged for their roles in making Jason the percussionist, performer and educator that he is today.

Jason recently graduated from Delaware Technical Community College, receiving his Associate’s Degree in Architectural Engineering. He plays drumset for his Jazz/Funk band, Salida Del Soul, and is currently working to expand his new company, J.K. Percussion & Arts, which assists in the growth of young percussionists and marching arts programs in Delaware and surrounding areas.
