Youth Education in the Arts is proud to continue this local youth program in Allentown, PA to develop life skills through musical performance. We seek to provide students with a positive first experience in a marching ensemble.

Meetings
Mondays from 2:45 - 4:45 p.m.

Learn
Students will learn the basics of drumming and/or flag-spinning and improve the skills needed for marching band.
This is also an excellent form of exercise.

Goals
The Lehigh Valley Youth Drumline seeks to instill a sense of teamwork and responsibility, while providing a fun and  productive use of free time. We seek to teach students the basic skills of marching band so that they can successfully progress to the bands at Allen and Dieruff high schools.

Performance Opportunities
Beginning in May, the Lehigh Valley Youth Drumline will perform in various local parades, festivals and other special events throughout the summer.

Practice Method
In order to make the most of our short rehearsals, we have committed to a strict rehearsal method that helps us teach students more skills and music quickly. Step 2: Listen for Directions

Step 3: 8 and Go! 

Step 4: Freeze and Listen

Step 5: Repeat or Relax
