Welcome USSBA Volunteers

“Volunteers are seldom paid; not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless!”

This quote by an unknown author says so much about volunteers who support the US Scholastic Band Association. Without you and your contributions, we could never provide young people with the life-changing experiences during the Indoor season.

The USSBA Indoor season kicks off in February 2011 and we need YOU as part of the USSBA Volunteer Council. Join us in creating memorable experiences for thousands of band students across the country.

We apologize, but the selected Survey is currently unavailable.

Why you? Read what recent volunteers have to say about their time with our life-changing programs:

"Being deeply involved with the students in the high school music program has been a rewarding, enriching experience. Traveling with the bands, getting to know the kids, facilitating, coordinating, observing the fun, hard work and challenges they face - and the rewards for a job well done has been one of the best experiences I have ever had." -Brian Foldy, Coral Springs, Fla.

“The smiles, hugs, and thank yous …there is not a paycheck that can match that.” - Joan Flint, Halstead, Pa.

“I have met the best people in the world while doing this. Some of them have become close friends that I stay in contact with all year.  I plan on [volunteering] as long as I am able. The way the world is now it’s hard to tell where life will lead us from day to day…thank you all at YEA! for letting me be a part of this great family." - Pasquale Rulli Jr. (Potsy), Mishawaka, Ind.
